How purchases and refunds work on Knacto (https://knacto.com), operated by NAVORETA UAB. This sits under the Terms of Service.
1. What a purchase is
Every purchase on Knacto is a one-off top-up of prepaid tokens. Nothing renews, nothing rolls over, nothing is billed in the background — there are no subscriptions, no seats, no recurring charges. Runs reserve tokens up front and settle what was actually spent, so the balance on the ledger is always the truth.
2. Consumer withdrawal right
Under EU law and Lithuanian consumer legislation, a consumer buying a digital service normally has fourteen days to withdraw from the contract. Because tokens are digital content delivered immediately and start to be usable the moment they land on your balance, we ask at checkout for your express consent to immediate delivery and your acknowledgement that the fourteen-day withdrawal right does not apply once the delivery has begun. Where you have not started to spend tokens from a fresh top-up, we will still consider a withdrawal request received within fourteen days as a courtesy refund, subject to section 4.
3. When we refund
We will refund a top-up in full where none of its tokens have been spent, and the request reaches us within fourteen days of the purchase.
We will refund a proportion of a top-up where the balance shows the tokens are clearly unspent because a Knacto-side incident (a bug, an outage, a wrong meter) prevented normal use, once the incident is investigated and confirmed.
We will refund a duplicate charge whenever we can confirm the duplication against the ledger.
We will honour any refund that Lithuanian or EU consumer law requires us to give — nothing in this document displaces those rights.
4. When we do not refund
Tokens already spent by a Run — reserved and settled to the ledger — are not refundable, because the underlying model, tool or infrastructure has already been paid for on your behalf.
Bonus tokens granted as a gift, promotion or on sign-up carry no cash value and are not refundable independently of the paid pack they were attached to.
Refunds are not available where an account has been suspended or closed for a breach of the Terms of Service, the Acceptable Use Policy or applicable law, and the tokens have not been spent — in that case the balance is forfeited rather than refunded.
5. How to ask for a refund
Write to [email protected] from the address on the account, giving the transaction reference and, briefly, why you are asking. We will look at the ledger, confirm what is unspent, and reply with a decision. We aim to respond within three business days.
6. How refunds are processed
Where a refund is due, we return the money to the original payment method through the payment provider that handled the charge. Timing then depends on your bank — typically a few business days, sometimes a little more.
7. Cancelling the account
You can close the account at any time from settings or by writing to [email protected]. There is no notice period and nothing recurring to cancel. Any unspent tokens at the point of closure are forfeited unless a refund is due under section 3.
8. Complaints
If you disagree with a refund decision, please tell us. Consumers can take an unresolved dispute to Lithuania’s State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (VVTAT, https://vvtat.lt), and those elsewhere in the EU can use the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net).
